cleaning

Why cleaning is required

Cleaning of the room is necessary to:

Minimise the number of particles present that can get into the air.

To minimise the build-up of 'dirt' that can provide a nutrient base for possible microbial colonisation.

For aesthetic and psychological reasons as personnel expect a cleanroom to look clean and will be less likely to carry out disciplinary/managemental methods of maintaining cleanliness if the room appears to be dirty.
